The Theater suffered a first fire in 1861 and was rebuilt. Later, Domènec Balet carried out various interior design projects at the Liceu and presented them at two major exhibitions, first at the Universal Exhibition in Chicago in 1893 and later at the 3rd Exhibition of Fine Arts and Artistic Industries in Barcelona in 1896, obtaining a gold medal and medal of honor respectively.
Unfortunately, a second fire in 1994 destroyed the original elements, but now all these decorative elements have undergone a fantastic reinterpretation at the hands of the architects Lluís Dilmé and Xavier Fabré.

With this fantastic video created by Betevé, moving the computer mouse over the image, we can see the video in 360º which gives us a perspective of the ceiling and the entire spectacular room.
In addition, the interviewee gives a magnificent explanation of all the reconstruction work that was done.
We believe that this other project refers to another space inside the Liceo (but at the moment we don't know which one it is).
